To paraphrase an old saying, you can tell the character of a company by the employees it keeps. One thing that has been consistent throughout Sunnen’s 92 year history is generation after generation of dedicated, hard-working employees who choose to make a career here. In the coming months we plan to profile employees from different areas of the company in our new Employee Spotlight series!
This month the Employee Spotlight will shine on Tamara Taylor, who works in our Tool and Development department. Tamara is a passionate employee and has been with us for 28 years. Her husband John Taylor is also part of the Sunnen employee family and works in the Abrasive Cell.
Tamara’s Supervisor Paul Nanney says, “Tamara’s biggest achievement is not only working in a usually male dominated industry but excelling at the highest skill levels of that industry. Among her strengths are her performance in planning, programming and machining complicated prototypes on multi-axis lathes using multiple methods. She is also the administrator for our GibbsCAM programming system. Tamara’s skill at both art and manufacturing and her dedication to staying physically healthy to pursue her many outdoor hobbies makes her one of the most motivated and successful individuals you will ever meet.”
