PRODUCTS
From its beginning, Sunnen Products Company has concentrated on advancing bore sizing technology and related equipment for industrial applications. Sunnen's bore sizing products include a complete line of industrial honing machines from simple manual hones to fully-integrated systems that can provide every necessary function for most bore sizing operations. For the engine building market, Sunnen provides a full line of engine rebuilding and cleaning equipment, tools and accessories. Sunnen also manufactures a wide range of abrasives, lubricants and gages for both markets. Sunnen's tooling and abrasives are manufactured for use on Sunnen systems as well as machines manufactured by other companies. The Sunnen Mission has always been to keep pace with the needs of customers in the processing of new materials and new requirements for high volume production while maintaining the highest standards of precision.
FACILITIES
| Sunnen Products Company, St. Louis, Missouri, manufactures
a wide range of bore sizing and finishing systems, honing machines, precision
bore gages, tooling, abrasives, honing oils and coolants, and accessories. The
headquarters facility covers 486,000 sq. ft. (45,150 sq. meters) and has approximately
650 employees. |

The Sunnen Abrasives and Lubricants facility, located just minutes away from the Sunnen headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, produces plated diamond tools, conventional abrasives, superabrasives, honing oils and coolants in its 85,000 sq. ft. (7,900 sq. meters) floor space, with more than 100 employees.
Sunnen Products, Ltd., located in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England, handles sales, service and distribution for Sunnen in the UK. This 12,840 sq. ft. (1,200 sq. meter) facility has 15 employees.
Sunnen
AG, in Ennetaach-Erlen, Switzerland serves as Sunnen's Technical Center
for the European market, and includes space for sales, manufacturing, warehousing
and product display. Sunnen AG manufactures Sunnen's HTB, HTH and HTC series
of tube hones and specializes in the design and manufacture of automated bore
sizing and finishing systems. Sunnen AG has 40 employees.
Shanghai Sunnen Mechanical Company, Ltd., near Shanghai, China, serves the rapidly expanding Chinese market. This 107,000 sq. ft. (10,000 sq. meter) facility includes office and manufacturing space with 39 employees.
Sunnen Italia S.R.L., located in Milan, Italy, supplies the Italian market with both bore sizing and engine building products, and employs 9 people.
MARKETS
Bore Sizing and Finishing: Sunnen's Bore Sizing and Finishing Division has more than 19,000 individual accounts in the U.S. including such well-known companies as the "Big Three" auto makers, Caterpillar and Cummins.
Engine Building: Sunnen's Engine Building Division services more than 12,000 individual U.S. accounts ranging from small local machine shops to the large production engine remanufacturing shops such as Jasper Engines.
International: Sunnen has a presence in virtually every industrialized nation and is always among the first U.S. manufacturers to enter developing countries. After more than 70 years of exporting, Sunnen's network of international distributors totals more than 50.
