Description: Candidates will show up to five years previous machinist experience. Applicants must possess good math skills (including decimals and fractions); ability to intrepret detailed blueprints; read and set a variety of precision measuring instruments and work to extremely close tolerances. Openings are subject to shift rotation.
Requirements:
Operate a variety of machines - both manual machines and CNC equipment to fabricate and finish parts. Machine operated include lathes, horizontal and vertical mills, and grinders.
Inspect parts to insure they retain tolerance, squareness, concentricity, parallelism and finish.
Troubleshoot production problems.
Perform preventive maintenance on machines.
Higher level positions also require set up skills, use of advanced trade mathematics and use of a personal computer.

Description: Sunnen has several openings for skilled assemblers in our Abrasives & Lubricants Division. Duties involve a variety of machining and finishing processes to fabricate abrasive stones, stone assemblies and components.
Requirements: Candidates must possess the following skills:
Read and interepet blueprints
Set and read precision measuring instruments (i.e., micrometers, calipers)
Work to close tolerances of .002-.005
Shop math skills, including an understanding of decimals and fractions.

This position provides technical support to customers and employees. Candidate will support the manufacturing/assembly effort of existing line of products or modification to existing products. He/she must perform calculations, creates drawings, design, build and test electrical systems, write software, and carry out related engineering functions.
This position works closely with project teams of Industrial Design, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing to satisfy the requirements of each functional group.

Description: Sunnen Products Company is seeking a tool/manufacturing engineer. Candidates must have a minimum of three years experience in the design and development of machine shop fixtures or other tight tolerance manufacturing tooling. Job consists of tooling support for a variety of processes including manual and NC metal cutting, EDMs, as well as some NC programming.
Requirements:
4 year college degree in a technical discipline (mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, etc.)
Knowledge of metal cutting machine tool design principles including mechanics of materials, statics, dynamics and the interaction of mechanical and electrical systems in machine control
Knowledge of metal cutting and gauging principles; hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Knowledge and experience in selecting materials for tool design
CAD experience (Pro-E would be a plus)
NC programming experience a definite plus
