Key Features:
The new ML-5000 is build for speed and precision. It decreases cycle
times, yet holds bore size tolerances to within microns. Two unique
features make this possible:
1. Programmable
Stroke Control: Virtually eliminates taper
by allowing the honing tool to dwell or short stroke at either
end of the bore. Assures optimum geometry even when finishing
difficult parts such as those with blind holes.
2. Cycle Time Control: Assures increased
productivity and consistency by automatically adjusting feed pressure
to optimize abrasive performance.
- The ML-5000 is extremely easy to operate - even inexperienced
operators can run with ease.
- The ML-5000 has proven to out produce older Sunnen machines
by at least 2 to 1. In many cases, you can use your existing
tooling for lowering initial investment costs.

A variety of workholding fixtures are available for use
with the ML-5000. The Universal Honing Fixture (shown above)
come standard with the machine, and can be used for most
honing applications. The machine can also be equipped with
fixtures designed for your specific application.
